The route is mostly canal towpath, initially along the Ashton Canal and then the Huddersfield Narrow Canal, with a smidge of road in between. The Ashton Canal gives us a lot of locks to climb up to get to Droylsden Marina where it flattens out again, before a couple of hump bridges brings us to Cavendish Mill where we'll leave this canal and cross the road to get onto the Huddersfield Narrow Canal behind Asda. From here there's a lot of locks to climb up as we head towards the Pennines. Book here.
