Then some of the greatest engineering feats of the English canal network, the superhighways of the 1800's, complete with horse drawn boats (maybe), but even without those you'll still need to pass through the way that they once walked. 6.1 miles. Following the canal through to Bardsley and we’ll have a short sharp climb to the Ashton & Oldham greenway where we’ll rejoin the roads for our final section into Stamford Park.
