Platt Fields via the Fallowfield Loop to a shared path/road down to the River Mersey we then follow the river bank up stream leaving the river for a short stretch of road we then rejoin the river at its start. We then head up through Reddish Vale, sorry but we now have a couple of uphill sections before we make our way back to the Loop then its all downhill as we head back to our start point at Platt Fields. Lets Ride:Pickmere PedalStart:next to the cycle racks opposite the entry booth to the main car park at Dunham Massey Park. WA14 4SJ . Route: 22 miles. Leave the park and cross the River Bollin then along some quiet country lanes through Millington and Rostherne to enter Tatton Park for a comfort stop. We’ll do a bit more cycling in Tatton then out of the Knutsford gate and along a bridlepath towards Pickmere lake then stop for a pub lunch in the garden of the Red Lion at Pickmere. After lunch we’ll return to Dunham via the cycle path alongside the old A556. Book here. |

Manchester Pride Ride 2021Meet Trek Bicycle, Manchester Piccadilly, 41 Newton Street, Northern Quarter, manchester. A ride to celebrate Manchester’s LGBT+ history with a cycling tour which celebrates some of Manchester’s LGBT+ legends - Alan Turing and Emmeline Pankhurst - as well as sites which braved conventions by hosting early gay, lesbian and bisexual meetings and gatherings and sites where historic decisions were made. (And yes, we’ll be visiting Canal St!).The tour is suitably inclusive: we welcome all bike types from E-bikes to Bromptons. You’ll need to be confident riding on roads although we will ride on cycle paths wherever possible and always at a leisurely pace. The riding time is around an hour at a leisurely pace and we’ll stop to talk about the sights for around half an hour. Please wear helmets. You can check out the route here. Book here. |
